
Michele Goodwin, a law professor, scholar, and thought leader who I greatly respect and admire, posted a thoughtful Open Letter to Diamond Reynolds. As you probably know, Diamond Reynolds live streamed and posted video to Facebook of the aftermath of the shooting and death of Philando Castile. By sharing her own tangible experience in a police encounter, Professor Goodwin shines light on the breadth and extent of policing issues that impact all segments of the African-American community.
